    Stanton Chase has been retained by WETA to recruit a Chief Financial Officer.  WETA is the leading public broadcasting station in the nation's capital, serving the District of Columbia, northern Virginia and Maryland as well as parts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

    The WETA television lineup includes WETA PBS, the station's primary channel, and WETA Metro, featuring PBS favorites and programs that highlight the local community.   On radio, Classical WETA 90.9 FM is the exclusive provider of classical music in Greater Washington.   WETA is the second largest producer of new content for public television in the United States, creating series and specials for a national audience including PBS NewsHour, with Judy Woodruff.

    Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Sharon Rockefeller, the CFO is a driven individual who provides strategic and tactical leadership for WETA's long term financial goals. The CFO will be a member of the Executive Management committee and will also be the organization's Treasurer, with direct responsibilities to WETA's board of trustees.

    Position Requirements Include:

    ·  CPA and accounting or finance degree required.  MBA desirable.

    ·  10+ years of progressively responsible experience managing multiple corporate functions inside a complex non-profit environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ·  Broad expertise in financial management, including non-profit accounting operations, GAAP, budgeting and performance monitoring, capital deployment and expenditures, investment/endowment management, treasury and cash management, financing structures, insurance, and compliance.

    ·  Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to represent WETA.
