Scott joins AchieveNEXT as a Middle-Market Operating Partner.
He was a partner in the Philadelphia office of RSM until April of 2019. His experience includes planning, organizing, administering and supervising all phases of financial and operational engagements including total responsibility for servicing closely-held and private-equity-owned, entrepreneurial middle market companies in a variety of industries, with a concentration in real estate, consumer products and financial services. Scott has extensive experience in providing business advice to companies in cases ranging from tax planning to human resource planning to financial and lender negotiations consulting and strategy. He has widespread experience in audits and provision of other accounting services for real estate companies (developers – multifamily and commercial, parking, student housing, and management companies), manufacturers, wholesale distribution, service businesses, and venture funds, and for the audits of these companies’ employee benefit plans.
Since his time at RSM, Scott has been engaged in consulting engagements with former clients, acting as an in-house chief accounting officer, evaluating financial reporting systems, developing operational improvements for various accounting departments, acting as a family office representative for a family office member, and serving as trustee for high net worth individuals’ estate planning.
Scott is a certified public accountant licensed in Pennsylvania and New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Scott is very active in philanthropic endeavors in the Philadelphia area and holds the following positions: Board Member of the Foundation for Jewish Day Schools and Jewish Scholarship LLC (both related to the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program); Honorary Life Director of Federation Early Learning Services and member of Operations Committee; Executive Committee Member, Finance Committee Member and Chair of the Audit Committee for Juvenile Law Center; President and chair of the Executive Committee of the Jewish National Fund for Southeastern Pennsylvania; and Executive Committee Member and co-chair of the Finance Committee for the Abramson Center for Jewish Life.
Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.
