Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are important to sports teams. These qualities are valued on the field, of course: Athletes of color now make up a majority of people competing and playing professional sports in North America.DE&I matters to fans, too. Indeed, more than seven in 10 sports fans (71%) support teams and athletes who speak out on issues of social justice and racial equity according to a recent ESPN survey.DE&I is good for business. While the sports industry has made great strides in DE&I, it has allowed one area that lags significantly behind: Its own non-player workforce and operations.A recent AchieveNEXT study of the industry found a significant opportunity for improvement, but no established approach for how leagues and teams should address DE&I inside their enterprises. In this interactive webinar, AchieveNEXT DE&I Practice Lead, @Robyn Pollack, and Chief Knowledge Officer, @Tom Stewart, will delve into some key observations from the report, and talk about what it means for the future of the sports industry. The event will finish with a Q&A/discussion.#DEI#leadership
