Reversing the SHE-CESSION: Supporting Women Post-COVID

Two-part Conversation Series with Mid-Market Executive Leaders

How do we stop female leaders from “thinking about” leaving our companies?  How do we support them throughout the pandemic and the aftermath of it?  Data clearly shows the disproportionate impact the pandemic has had on the careers and lives of women.  As women have stepped out, stepped back, and stepped aside, this “She-Cession” has illuminated the need for more intentional investment in creation of enterprise cultures where women are developed and can thrive.

What: This is an invitation-only session for C-suite female leaders and their male counterparts (either in their own organization or others) to discuss and learn from each other.  What will it take to be the employer of choice for women either re-entering the workplace after COVID or choosing whether to stay with their current job as things return to normalcy?  Companies can intentionally choose to reclaim the ground lost and move forward to the next level of female talent and enterprise performance, and make sure their top talent doesn’t fall victim to the She-Cession.

  • Session 1 (June 23rd, 2PM EST): An intimate, honest conversation with 15 female leaders of the mid-market, about what’s working to halt the “She-Cession”, what’s not working, and offer ideas on how we can help our male counterparts within organizations to be partners with us in being the employer of choice for women.

  • Session 2 (June 30th, 11AM EST): Debrief executive leaders/counterparts/sponsors/trusted colleagues to join in this unique discussion where the AchieveNEXT team will share the insights they heard from the first session to support women coming out of COVID pandemic.

Why: to bring C-level leaders of all genders together to close the gap that the pandemic has created for women and to highlight opportunities and strategies for organizations to retain, support and help women thrive.  A teamwork approach is needed on this topic and this series offers the opportunity to collaborate!

Outcome: You will gain new ideas and insights from others and at the same time, be addressing the systemic challenges of women-only conversations.  In the 2nd-session of the series, your male counterparts are invited to the debrief to hear the solutions and strategies that can help them participate in halting the She-Cession in their own organizations.
